As we start off, all our coffee is sourced from the farms / estates in Karnataka state, India; the state contributes more than 70% of the total production of coffee in India.Indian coffee is shade grown in the Western Ghats region, which is a UNESCO world heritage site and is one of the eight "hottest hot-spots" of biological diversity in the world.

We believe that the coffee grown in such beautifully diverse environment is certain to be rich and unique; just by the fact that it is shade grown, we are positive that it supports the highest diversity of native flora and fauna, which invariably classifies the cultivation as environmentally sustainable one

Sourcing the best coffee does not necessarily guarantee a good cup of coffee but then sourcing bad coffee is certain to deliver a bad cup of coffee. Our coffee is sourced directly from the producers; we partner with the producers (mostly small holdings families), engage with them all through the year educating them on best practices in cultivation / harvesting. We (Brew Life and the producers) are a happy lot together; and are certainly passionate about our coffee.

Some of our producers are also certified under UTZ and Rainforest Alliance, which in itself speaks about responsible / sustainable cultivation.

This year, all our coffee is sourced from the farms in Chikmagalur (district) in Karnataka, which is the birthplace of coffee in India. We are not another middleman / exporter; Brew Life is based out of Chikmagalur / Bangalore; we are lucky to be so close to the source, unlike a lot others.
